So here we have one of our very light projects that everyone seems to like. A 1966 V8 finished in Lime Green with a 5-speed manual gearbox with a hydraulic clutch.
As said the car is a 1966 model with the factory GT package as can be seen in the interior images. As we are talking about the interior trim – it is new – yes, the whole interior trim has been renewed.
The interior has had; new pony seat covers, new carpet, new one-piece headliner, new pony door cards, new package tray, new seat belts back and front, and new dash pad – this would cost £3000 plus on its own without fitting.
Outside the paint has been refinished in the USA and is gun finish, if it were our car, we would color sand all the panels and re-polish.
As can be seen in the images, this is a vinyl roof car (finishing trims at bottom of c posts ), the vinyl has been removed and the roof painted. If our project, we would fit a new white vinyl and we are supplying a new one free of charge should you wish to do so.
The body itself appears to have no rust anywhere on wings, doors, bonnet, and boot.
The exterior is finished off with a set of the famous American Racing Torque Thrust D wheels with almost new rubber all around.
The underside would appear to be original and have never been welded both front and rear frame rail are solid as are the floors and trunk floor.
All suspension parts look in good condition and in fact, she has new springs and air shockers at the rear.
The engine bay is also rust-free as can be seen in the images. The engine runs from a 4 barrel carburetor topped off with a chrome air filter and chrome rocker covers. She is also fitted with an alloy rad for extra cooling on those hot days (oh this is England, not California)… still, it has an alloy radiator.
Back to the exterior – and at the time of writing – all lights and turn signals are working as is the horn So overall one of our very very light project you can drive and improve on as you go.
The car comes fully registered with a UK V5C document.
