SOLD: "Donna" 1966 Ford Mustang V8 Convertible Auto Xirallic Paint

We are pleased to offer for sale this 1966 Ford Mustang V8 automatic convertible finished in 2017 Aston Martin DB11 Xirallic paint. This is a one owner car from Texas. This car has gone through our workshop and has had new inner chassis rails, new torque boxes, and rear chassis rails so the underside is good for another 50 years.

The interior has been completely refurbished with new carpets, new seat covers, new door cards and new covers on the inner quarter panels – the rest of the interior has been colour coded to match the exterior finish (even the steering wheel has been refinished to match).

The engine was removed and fitted with a new Edelbrock 1406 four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock performer inlet and to finish off, Edelbrock valve covers and air cleaner. The engine was then refinished in gloss black along with the power steering pump, alternator, and fan. A new water pump was also fitted and wiring has been covered in convoluted cable covering to finish off the ultra clean look. The engine bay itself has also been refinished in gloss black to complement the gloss black look. A new alloy radiator was fitted so no worrying about those hot summer day and over heating.

The exterior has been refinished in the new 2017 Aston Martin DB11 Xirallic paint that pops in the bright sunlight – the photographs do not do this paint justice. The rear end has the full GT look with exhausts exiting through the rear panel. The exhaust itself sounds awesome as can be heard on the video.

The soft top (as can be seen in the pictures) is new and was fitted only about a year ago before it left Texas. All door handles are new as are all badges and rocker panel moldings. The car sits on brand new 17″ five spoke chrome alloys direct from the USA.

Behind the front wheels are factory fitted 4-pot disc brakes so stopping is not a problem as it can be on some early Mustangs with drum brakes. Steering is very positive and smooth as this convertible is fitted with factory power steering.

To sum up; this is, in our opinion, one of the nicest ’66 convertibles offered for sale this summer. It rides and drives with no squeaks or noise from the suspension and is a pleasure to drive. This car takes you back to the summers of the sixties.
