We have had light projects and we have had “full-on” projects but this must be the lightest project we have ever offered for sale… even calling it a project may be an insult to this Mustang but none-the-less she is being offered as one.
Ok, let us start. The body is in good overall condition with a Shelby front nose-cone and a cowl induction hood. The paint has a few marks that you may wish to attend to or leave as is. The paint is finished off with Shelby stripes in satin black. To finish the look off she is fitted with a set of Magnum 500 style wheels.
All glass is in great condition with only a few very small scratches on the rear windshield. The hood is a cowl induction hood with the raised center to clear that enormous 4 barrel carb. The carb sits on an Edelbrock inlet this, in turn, feeds a pair of Edelbrock alloy heads this set up would have cost $6,000-7,000 alone. Feeding the high-performance carb is an electric high-volume fuel pump.
To cool the high-performance engine is a high volume alloy radiator. The exhaust is a twin exit type with free-flow mufflers that give a great V8 muscle sound. At the rear end, a locker differential has been fitted and at the front disc brakes are also fitted.
On the underside, we could find no rust and all chassis rails look to be in good all-round condition. She has also had both new front and rear springs fitted so she sits and rides great.
The car comes fully registered with a UK V5C document. This will be available as soon as DVLA is fully functional after the COVID-19 situation here in the UK. However, the paperwork has been sent and is pending.
- The interior has been re-trimmed in black
- Sometime over the last five years and all are in very good condition
- The wiring loom has been replaced with a modern item with modern spade fuses
- The heating/cooling as also been upgraded with a modern system fitted
- The gear shift has been upgraded with a B&M shifter
- There is also a 1200 watt sound system fitted with a 4-inch screen fitted
So this is a project you can use and improve as you go on your own time.
