We would like to offer for sale this 1966 Mustang re-finished in bright red with black interior and chrome alloys.
She is a factory V8 with automatic transmission. She starts right up and drives as can been seen in the video. The interior is in great condition with no rips or tears and the dash pad is finished in leather.
The carpets are also in good useable condition with no need for replacement. All gauges are working at the time of writing and the heater blower works. All glass is also in good usable condition with no big marks or cracks in the windshield. All exterior windshield moldings are also in good useable condition.
Under the hood, the engine is in great condition with no visible leaks of any kind – very rare on a 53-year-old Mustang. There are also no major rust issues in the engine bay. The brakes are factory fitted drums all round (no servo). The steering is also factory non-power. The trunk (boot) compartment looks to be sound including the drop off once again unusual on a 1966 mustang she also has had a new gas tank fitted, so no worries about petrol leakage.
On the restoration side, she will require a new floor pan (we are supplying this free with the purchase of the car the retail cost of this would be £702).
We have replaced both front-wheel cylinders and front brake lines but she needs a new master cylinder to finish the brake job.
She will also require a center section of the exhaust system replacing.
This is a project for someone to build into there dream Mustang and is a good starting place. Well restored coupes are now selling for £25,000-34,000.
