We are pleased to offer for sale this 1968 Ford Mustang project. She is a 351w V8 auto finished in Wimbledon White with a black interior.
As can be seen in the images the interior trim is in good usable condition with only a small repair required to the passenger seat swab.
There is an aftermarket Shelby-style steering wheel finished in black leather. The exterior bodywork is in great condition having just been refinished in the original factory color of Wimbledon White. To finish off the exterior new bumpers have been fitted back and front.
The engine bay is in great condition with no signs of rust. The engine itself has been fitted with an aftermarket 4v carburetor for extra power.
The underside is in great condition; it would appear the floors have never been repaired or welded and are original as are all torque boxes, trunk drop off panels, and rear inner and outer wheel housings – the underside looks to be completely original.
A new gas tank and a new twin exhaust system have also been fitted. Wheels are original factory fit with now rare 1968 wheel trims.
So, why is she a project?
She needs a valve job and a tune-up. We have fitted a new distributor, plug wires, and plugs but some DIY American mechanic has tried to set the valve clearances and pulled the rockers down too much and it would appear the valve seats now need reseating.
This is a great solid project car for a mechanic as there is little to no other work required.
The car comes fully registered with a UK V5C document.
